Putnam County Fire and Rescue said an elderly man was smoking when his oxygen tank blew up in his face.
Officials say it happened at around 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The man was transported to University of Florida Health: Shands Hospital with second-degree burns, Fire Rescue said.
