The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said Red Cross assistance has been requested for two adults and three children after a Saturday morning house fire.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said Red Cross assistance has been requested for two adults and three children after a Saturday morning house fire.

The fire happened in the 3500 block of Waterchase Way West, which is in the Pablo Bay subdivision off Beach Boulevard and San Pablo Road South.

Firefighters said there was heavy smoke and fire when they first arrived on scene.

The house was deemed all clear after a search and the fire was later brought under control.

An investigator was requested by the JFRD command at the scene.
