JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The below restaurants were found to have violations by health inspectors. Watch the story here or in the above media player.
Inspectors found these violations at the Quality Inn Conference Center on Commonwealth Avenue near I-295 in Jacksonville, causing them to temporarily close:
- 11 live roaches
- 24 live, small flying insects
- Potentially hazardous food temperatures
The Jimmy John’s at Tapestry Park Circle and West Deer Lake Drive was cited for:
- Sewage backing up through floor drains
- Utensils not properly sanitized
- Potentially hazardous food temperatures
The restaurant was also temporarily closed.
Inspectors say Whitey’s Fish Camp located at County Road 220 had:
- Seven small, flying insects at the bar area
- Potentially hazardous food temperatures
- An employee touched unwrapped items without washing their hands
All restaurants in this report are now compliant with the state.
