JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — New Hot Wok on Normandy Boulevard was near the top of the list for high priority violations.
Inspectors found 17 violations, including live, small flying insects in the food prep area, food stored on the floor and raw animal meat stored over ready-to-eat food. The restaurant said they fixed the fly problem.
Krystal on North Highway 19 in Palatka was temporarily shut down because of roaches. Inspectors found live roaches on bread racks, in the dining room and other places. They also saw a blackish-green mold-like substance in the ice machine and gaskets with a slimy build up in the freezer.
At Ashley's Place in Jacksonville, inspectors issued a stop sale on food in bad condition and they found a buildup of food debris on kitchen equipment.
