Ricker Road at 103rd Street temporarily closed for intersection upgrades

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation is letting Jax drivers know that Ricker Road at the 103rd Street intersection is temporarily closed. The improvements project is causing northbound Ricker Road traffic to detour via Falcon Street and Hillman Drive.

The intersection improvements at Ricker Road, Hillman Drive/McManus Drive, La Ventura Drive East and Redstone Drive include new traffic signal mast arms, traffic signal upgrades, new streetlights, crosswalk restriping and the installation of LED countdown pedestrian signals.

The Ricker Road intersection improvements also include widening of the road for the installation of dedicated left turn lanes at the north and south sides of the intersection. Ricker Road will be temporarily closed at the intersection through December.

In addition, drivers should expect evening lane closures on 103rd Street in the area of the intersections throughout the duration of the project. No closures will be scheduled during peak driving times or on holidays or special events.
