JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As the Jaguars prepare to trim their roster to 53 players, the team announced Sunday it traded TE Hunter Long to the Arizona Cardinals for a pair of draft pick.
The Jags received sixth-round and seventh-round picks in the 2028 NFL Draft , pending a physical, the team announced today.
In this year’s draft, Jacksonville selected a pair of tight ends, which have shown promise during training camp as the Jaguars prepare to start the season on September 13.
The team drafted tight ends Nate Boerkircher in the second round and Tanner Koziol in the fifth round.
Long was originally drafted in 2021 by the Miami Dolphins in the third round.
