Salvation Army hosts job fair in Downtown Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — The Salvation Army is hosting a job fair in Downtown Jacksonville. The job fair will take place at the Towers Center of Hope on November 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Salvation Army says it will be hiring for seasonal positions, including seasonal drivers and Red Kettle bell ringers.

“This is an opportunity for individuals who might need some seasonal job opportunities to help us, the Salvation Army, to fill the gaps with our red kettles,” said Major Nicole Parker of the Salvation Army Northeast Florida. “Obviously, we depend on volunteers to help us fill those spots, but we can’t get all of the locations filled during the season with volunteers, so we need some individuals to help us.” Parker adds the positions will last from this week to December 24.

On-the-spot interviews will be conducted, so attendees are asked to dress appropriately and bring their photo ID and Social Security card. You can find more information in the full interview with Major Nicole Parker.
