Missing St. Augustine woman last seen in Ocala National Forest last week, deputies say

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A St. Augustine woman is missing after she was last seen in the Ocala National Forest, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.

Theresa Hartley, 66, was last seen on Friday, March 10 near North Forest Road 88 approximately one mile south of North Forest Road 66 near Lake Delancy, MCSO said in a news release.

Hartley and a friend were driving in the woods when their car got stuck. Hartley’s friend told her to stay with the car while the friend went to get help.

When the friend returned, Hartley was not with the car, deputies said.

Hartley is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and has blue eyes and blonde hair.

It is possible that she has a mental condition and may have become lost in the woods, deputies said. Law enforcement is concerned for her safety at this time.

Anyone with any information about Hartley’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
