Nocatee ranked as No. 1 on Niche’s ‘Best Places to Raise a Family in Florida’ list

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A master-planned community in St. Johns County is being recognized as No. 1 among the Best Places to Raise a Family in Florida.

Niche, which “helps students and parents find the schools and places to live that are right for them,” has ranked Nocatee in the top spot in this category on its 2023 Best Places to Live rankings.

To rank neighborhoods in each state and county around the country, the company “collected and analyzed dozens of rankings factors from federal and local government datasets.”

Niche grades neighborhoods on categories such as crime & safety, schools, housing, outdoor activities, cost of living and diversity.

It also combines data from the U.S. Census Bureau and the FBI “with proprietary Niche data and community reviews from each area.”

One of those Niche reviews from a resident said the following about why they love living in Nocatee:

“I just moved to Nocatee about a year ago, and I fell in love with it! It’s a community with different, smaller sub-communities within it, and everyone that lives here is extremely friendly and welcoming. By living here, you gain access to many of its amenities, such as the gym, tennis, pickle ball & volleyball courts, and even the waterpark! You also are allowed to attend Nocatee’s exclusive events, such as Food Truck Friday Night! One of my favorite things about living here is seeing everyone drive around on their golf carts (yes, this is a golf cart community!) Overall, Nocatee has many things to do for everyone of all ages, and its as if everyday is a vacation!”

Another St. Johns County neighborhood made the Top 10 for Best Places to Raise a Family in Florida: Palm Valley came in at No. 9 on the list.

Niche also created rankings for categories that include Best Places to Buy a House, Most Diverse Places to Live, and Best Places to Retire. Each list can be broken down by city, county and state.
