Two separate child abduction attempts in St. Augustine Beach neighborhood

ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH, Fla. — Two women attempted to lure a child into their car with ice cream around Lakeshore Drive in St. Augustine Beach Tuesday Jan. 26, according to the St. Augustine Beach Police Department.

The child went home and reported the incident to his parents.

The driver was an older Black female, with brown hair, around 60 years old, and the passenger was a younger Black female with black shoulder-length hair.

The vehicle was a 4-door grey/silver Honda, with no window tint or markings on the outside of the car.

According to St. Augustine Beach Police, a very similar incident occurred Dec. 29, 2020, but was not reported until today.

The children in the Dec. 29 incident also said two Black females tried to get them into their car with a box of ice cream.

A home security camera caught the vehicle, as seen in the image below.
