St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said the suspect in a robbery that happened Thursday morning at the CVS Pharmacy off County Road 210 in northern St. Johns County has been detained in Jacksonville.
The man, who was identified as Nicholas Dungey, was taken into custody with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals, SJSO said.
Around 9 a.m. Thursday, a white man in his 20s entered the pharmacy and implied he had a weapon. SJSO released the note on social media on Thursday afternoon. The note reads in part:
"All pain killer, all syrups, all Xanax, all Dilaudid. I'm nice and won't hurt you. Just hand it over. And your car keys."
Investigators say the man walked out with two bags of prescription drugs and casually asked a woman in the parking lot for a ride. She declined, so investigators said he headed east on County Road 210 on foot towards Interstate 95.
The suspect was reported to have been asking for rides along County Road 210 and I-95. he is considered armed and dangerous.
