NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — The man accused of killing a Georgia police officer and two suspects who were caught hiding him in the trunk of a car in Nassau County have been moved to the Glynn County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said a tip led officials to the arrest of Royheem Delshawn Deeds, 24, in Nassau County.
Deeds was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Monday in Hilliard.
Authorities believed that the suspect was in a gold Nissan Altima traveling on U.S. 1 from the Folkston, Georgia, area, possibly heading to Gainesville, after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation received a tip.
Deputies were alerted about the suspected vehicle by the U.S. Marshals Service. Deputies spotted the Altima and conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 1 and Teston Lane.
Deputies found Deeds hiding in the trunk of the car. Deeds' sister, who was driving the car, and her boyfriend were also arrested.

Royheem Deeds is accused in connection with an incident in which Officer Tim Smith, 30, was investigating a suspicious person call about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Dodge County, which is about 55 miles south of Macon, authorities said. Smith was shot when he got out of his patrol car.
