5:25 a.m. UPDATE: A person inside the apartment at the center of the SWAT standoff has been removed from the apartment in a gurney.

A SWAT team is at The View at Mandarin Apartments on Losco Road again following an hours-long standoff Wednesday afternoon.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the standoff is for reports of a suicidal man in the apartment complex.
Authorities were at the complex early Thursday morning and are continuing to negotiate with the man.

Tear gas has been thrown to the third story window and two tactical robots are also at the scene.
Action News Jax reporter Alicia Tarancon said at one point the SWAT team was seen entering a stairwell with gas masks trying to throw more tear gas into the apartment.

A person inside the apartment started to throw what appeared to be clothes and other articles out of the window.
Several residents tell Action News Jax the area has been blocked off for hours and some were not able to enter their apartments.
Reporter Alicia Tarancon is working to speak with authorities and witness to get a better idea of what's happened prior to the standoff.
