JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Action News Jax First Alert Weather Team has declared a First Alert Weather Day for Tuesday for the potential of a long duration of rain.

Here’s what Action News Jax First Alert Weather Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh said you need to know:

  • Local nor’easter beginning with wind picking up Tuesday afternoon/evening along the coast. 
  • Additional rainfall to already saturated soils, especially near Interstate 10 and north.
  • Minor to perhaps moderate tidal flooding beginning Tuesday evening with the high tides. 
  • Highest wind gusts won’t arrive until Wednesday.
