GAINESVILLE, Fla. — University of Florida police have arrested one of two suspects in connection with an armed robbery in the Sorority Row area of campus.
UPD reported two armed suspects near Sorority Row around 12:30 a.m. Monday.
UPD and the Gainesville Police Department responded to the area after one of the two suspects committed an armed robbery.
Police said they arrested one man, who was carrying a handgun but did not commit the robbery.
They continue to search for the robbery suspect.
He is described as 5 feet 8 inchest tall, 170 lbs, with short hair and no facial hair wearing a striped shirt.
Police have increased patrols as the investigation continues.
They are asking the community to call 352-392-1111 with any information about the suspect.
