LIST: COVID-19 safety precautions at high school football games

Duval County:

- The district will limit attendance to 30 percent of a venue’s capacity to allow for social distancing.

- Face coverings will be required for fans entering and leaving facilities and at any point that social distancing is not possible.

- Face coverings will be required in all indoor venues.

- Congregating at games or in the parking lots will not be allowed.

- Parents and guardians of participating athletes will have priority for tickets at events such as football games where stadiums are expected to reach the reduced capacity.

- The district will not allow any person with COVID-19 of who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 to attend any school event. Additionally, a household member of a person with COVID-19 will not be permitted to attend school or any school events.

St. Johns County:

- Stadiums and gymnasiums will be limited to 30% spectator capacity to ensure social distancing.

- Each high school will sell tickets online.

- Masks will be required to enter the stadium/gymnasium until seated.

- Masks will be required when exiting the seating area and whenever social distancing is not possible.

Clay County:

Per school board policy, all fans must have a mask/face covering to enter the facility.

- Fans are to follow social distancing guidelines when moving around the gym and/or stadium.

- Check your school’s social media on how to purchase tickets before the scheduled game.

- Currently, district stadiums will be operating at a 30%, socially-distanced capacity to follow CDC and Clay County Health Department Guidelines.

- Each stadium will have markings where fans can and cannot sit.

- Fans are expected to exit the facility immediately following the end of the game.

- Fans are expected to follow all public address announcements and work together with school personnel to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.

- All concession stand workers will follow the Florida Department of Health and Clay County Health Department guidelines (mask and gloves).

Nassau County:

- Fans are to follow social distancing guidelines.

- All fans must have a mask or face covering to enter the facility and must wear them while walking around the facility and when social distancing is not possible.

- NCSD will operate at 50% capacity.

- Each facility will have markings to show where fans can and cannot sit.

- Concession stand workers will wear masks and gloves.

- Check your school’s social media to buy tickets before games.

- Fans are expected to exit as soon as the game is over.

- Fans and parents are not allowed to go on the field or the court after the game.

- Schools will notify visiting teams of the total number of tickets available for their organizations.

Columbia County:

- Columbia County Schools will operate all athletic events on football fields and in gyms at 50% capacity.

- Masks are highly encouraged and signs will be posted asking spectators to wear masks and socially distance themselves.

- Fans will not be allowed to walk around or stand. They may walk to the restroom or concessions but must return to their seat.

- Concessions will offer pre-cooked/pre-packaged items only.

- No going on the field/gym floor by spectators after the games.

Baker County:

- The district is asking and posting signs for individuals to not enter the game if they are sick.

- Fans must practice social distancing when possible.

- Masks are recommended.

- Football games will be live-streamed on the Baker County High School’s website.

Putnam County:

- Face masks are required.

- There will be limited capacity and social distancing will be encouraged.

Bradford County:

- Social distancing will be encouraged.

- Additional seating will be made available for fans.

- Fewer tickets will be sold.

- There will be hand-sanitizing stations placed throughout the venue.

- The concession stand will operate at a reduced level.

Union County:

- The district is bringing in more bleachers.

- Masks are recommended.

- There will be social distancing.

- There will be hand sanitizing machines at each gate.

- The visiting team will enter through a different gate than the home team.

- There will be concession stands on each side of the stadium.

- There are restrooms on both sides of the stadium.

- Chairs will be placed in the end zone for the band, which will allow fans more room to socially distance.
