The Circle K on State Road 16 near Masters Drive gave out “cheap” gas for a few hours for its grand opening on Wednesday.
Josh Hyde from Ancient City Slingshots shared video of the gas station with Action News Jax’s John Bachman, showing plenty of drivers taking advantage of the deal. The promotion ended at 4 p.m.

The price for regular unleaded at the Circle K was $3.99 a gallon, which is considered a deal by today’s standards.
In the Jacksonville metro area, the current average price per gallon for regular unleaded is about $4.75, according to AAA.

Last year at this time, the average price per gallon in our area was about $2.90 per gallon for regular unleaded.
