Right now, deputies are looking for a man who claimed to be a security worker and robbed a Yulee McDonalds.

He walked in with a plan.

He walked out with the cash.

Deputies said a thief hit the McDonalds off State Road 200 in Yulee early Wednesday morning, right before it opened.

He’s not exactly the Hamburglar, but he did have a disguise.

Employees said a man with "security" written on his shirt and a gun around his waist said he was there to check security.

“You would’ve never thought (of) using 'security,'” said Peggy Crawford.

“That’s not even a normal robbery. Someone definitely had to plan that out,” said Paxton Smith.

Surveillance video shows one of the employees opening up the safe so the man could count the money.

But the employee said he then started putting the money in his pocket.

When she asked him what he was doing with the money, the man ran toward the door.

He got away with approximately $600.

Shoppers nearby said the robbery was odd, but are thankful no one was hurt.

“Anybody will go to any extreme to try and get money,” said Crawford.

Deputies said the man took off in a silver vehicle and headed westbound on State Road 200.

Employees describe the suspect as a black man with dreads.
