None — JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Salsas Mexican Restaurant has several locations around Florida, including two in Jacksonville.
Inspectors recently stopped by the location on Beach Boulevard. An inspector found 32 violations including eight high-priority violations.
Among the issues:
Raw animal food stored over cooked food. They found raw pork over cooked pork.
Raw food not separated properly. They found raw chicken wings held over raw beef.
Toxic chemicals stored near food or in food preparation areas.
The manager told Action News they have corrected many of the issues,and are training new employees to know the proper rules.
Also high on the list of restaurants with high priority violations this week:
Cantina Laredo at the Saint Johns Town Center had seven high-priority violations, including an employee touching a body part, then touching food. Inspectors noted the employee scratched their arm while wearing a glove before prepping food.
Casa Dora Italian Café on East Forsyth Street had six high-priority violations including temperature issues and roaches.
It took two follow-up inspections before the restaurant could be cleared.
