ASHBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina Zoo is allowing Pokemon Go players to go hunting a little longer this weekend.
A statement from the zoo says it will extend hours on Saturday to host a Pokemon Go Evening Safari, which is scheduled from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Admission will be $5.
According to a statement on its Facebook page, the North Carolina Zoo has 52 accessible PokeStops and eight gyms. Zoo staff will place lures at PokeStops throughout the event. This first-of-its-kind opportunity will include live animal ambassador encounters while four prize bags will be given to top gym players at designated gyms.
Cellphone reception at the zoo will vary by plans, zoo officials said.
