NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A 3-month-old baby boy was found dead and six other children under the age of 2 were found alone in an apartment in Nashville on Monday.
Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said daycare provider Anne C. Jordan, 51, was not with the children when they were found by the 3-month-old’s mother and another parent, according to WZTV.
The other six children were taken to a hospital, WKRN reported.
Medical staff at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital said the 3-month-old did not have obvious signs of trauma or medical issues, according to the news outlet.
Hikers found Jordan in Harpeth River State Park on Monday night with multiple cuts to her arms. Police said the cuts appeared to be “significant” and self-inflicted.
Jordan was flown to a hospital for treatment, and investigators are trying to interview her.
