Former Florida nanny charged with human trafficking

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida woman who was accused of child pornography and inappropriate acts with a juvenile two months ago was charged with human trafficking in a neighboring county, authorities said Thursday.

Nicole Lynn Walker, 27, of Pensacola, was arrested on a child trafficking warrant by Escambia County investigators and was jailed in Santa Rosa County, WEAR-TV reported. In April, Walker, a former nanny and licensed foster parent was charged in Escambia County with possessing child pornography, lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim under 16, aggravated assault and resisting arrest, according to arrest records.

“We continued our investigation and determined there was an exchange of money for a video that was made involving some minor children,” Escambia County Chief Deputy Chip Simmons told WEAR. “This was an individual from out of state that engaged with Walter.”

According to the warrant report, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office’s obtained at least three videos Walter allegedly filmed between 2017 and 2018. According to the report, Walter allegedly performed sexual acts in front of small children who can be heard crying and playing in the background.

According to the report, the children are now 6 and 3 years old. At the time the videos were recorded, the youngest child would have been 15 months old, WEAR reported.

“To our knowledge, this is the first human trafficking case, first human trafficking charge that we have put on an individual,” Simmons said.

According to the report, investigators interviewed at least one person who claimed he paid Walter for her videos, WEAR reported. He told investigators Walter had a price rate for sexual videos with or without the children.

Simmons said Walter made at least $100 off one video, the television station reported.
