FRANKFORT, Ky. — As eastern Kentucky recovers from the devastating floods that swept through the region, many people wonder how they can help.
If you would like to help the victims of the Kentucky floods, here are some ways you can donate money, supplies or your time.
The Appalachian Regional Healthcare Foundation has set up a PayPal donation site to help provide for flood victims with generators, transportation, food, water and access to health care and medicine.
The Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture, Dr. Ryan Quarles, is requesting donations including bottled water, toiletries and non-perishable items on the state’s website. Here’s how to donate these items.
Remember, donations of supplies such as clothes, toiletries and non-perishable food items can always be made to local shelters or churches. These donations typically go to those in need.
