MESA, Ariz. — An Arizona police officer suffered minor injuries after part of a metal luggage rack flew into his windshield as he drove down a Mesa highway, authorities said.
The officer, with the Mesa Police Department, was driving along U.S. 60 when a piece of the rack impaled the windshield of his unmarked SUV, KPHO-TV reported.
Officials said it was unclear whether the road debris had already been on the road or whether it had just fallen out of another vehicle, according to the television station.
