DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — Three people have been charged with murder after a body was found in duct tape days later, according to officials.
According to WSB-TV, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called out to a house on September 18 for a possible murder. When deputies got to the house, they found the victim, Stiles Stilley, inside. He was bound with duct tape and believed to have been dead for a few days.
Investigators spent the next two weeks conducting interviews and going through evidence, according to a news release from DCSO.
DCSO said they arrested Elizabeth Allen, Marshall Fleming and Daniel Gillstrap in connection with the murder.
Allen, Fleming and Gillstrap have been booked on recommended charges of felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping with bodily injury and motor vehicle theft, according to DCSO.
The connection between the suspects and the victim is not clear, according to WSB-TV.
The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released.
