ST. LOUIS — A St. Louis man is getting the last laugh against porch pirates. And he can thank his cat for an assist.
Bruce Watson packaged his cat’s litter box and waited for the porch thieves to pounce, KMOV reported. He did not have to wait long.
“(They’re) stealing packages off our porch, stealing them off neighbors’ porches. Finally, I got tired of it,” Watson told KMOV. “Somebody’s gotta start fighting back against these folks.”

After another rash of thefts, Watson took action.
“One day I was cleaning up after the cat, had a couple extra Amazon packages in the basement, and I was like ‘We’re gonna try this out,’” Watson told KMOV.
A neighbor found one of the packages on the ground and was ready to return it when he saw the obscenity-laced note to the thief.
Watson said he was angry about the brazen thefts.
“It’s the safety of the neighborhood, because if someone’s willing to drive around in broad daylight and steal from you, what else are they willing to do?” Watson told KMOV. “That’s what worries me more than the packages.”
