Jeff Jetin, 27, was arrested Tuesday and charged with theft of a vehicle worth between $30,000 to $150,000, evading arrest and evading arrest with the detention of a vehicle, according to Bexar County online booking records.

Bexar County deputies and officers with the Converse Police Department were called to a Walmart store in Converse after receiving reports of a stolen vehicle, KSAT-TV reported.

According to a news release, deputies were notified that the stolen vehicle was a box truck with the Ruffles logo on the vehicle.

Authorities said that Jetin was allegedly driving the vehicle before he jumped from it, KABB-TV reported.

The truck crashed into a pickup, which then crashed into the garage door of a residence, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputies said that Jetin attempted to flee on foot, hopping fences in a residential neighborhood. However, deputies soon caught up to him and arrested the suspect without incident, the sheriff’s office said.

Jetin is being held in the Bexar County Jail, and bail was set at $30,000, online records show.

“Additionally, at this time investigators are trying to determine if the M.O. was the munchies or simply a love for ruffles chips,” the sheriff’s office joked on Facebook.
