An online petition had circulated in November asking Coachella organizers to remove Travis Scott from the lineup because of the tragedy at the Astroworld festival, which gathered more than 60,000 signatures.

Coachella would have been Travis Scott’s first return to the stage since the Astroworld tragedy, in which 10 people were killed and hundreds more injured. Sources told Variety Scott will receive what’s known as a “kill fee” for the Coachella cancellation.
