Goldberg, 66, has been vaccinated and received a booster.
The show was filmed remotely from Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines and Ana Navarro’s homes because of the surge in coronavirus cases, People magazine reported.
“They say there’s no place like home for the holidays, and that’s exactly where we are this year,” Behar explained. “Happy New Year from all our living rooms. As you can see, we’re back in boxes and doing the show remotely — hopefully for just a week. I’m praying that it’s just a week, but you never know, because this omicron thing is all over the place.”
Hostin said she and her mother also tested positive for COVID-19 over the holiday break. The host also lost her mother- and father-in-law to COVID-19 within days of each other over the 2020-2021 holiday season.
Goldberg missed several tapings of “The View” after being exposed to COVID-19, Radar Online reported.
