DENVER — A woman, believed to be intoxicated, crashed through multiple headstones on Monday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, investigators said.
Denver police said the woman sideswiped two cars in the parking lot before driving atop burial plots and then crashing into numerous headstones, KCNC reported.
It is unclear how many headstones were damaged and the extent of those that were destroyed.
The driver, who has not been identified, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Two other women were in the vehicle as well.
No one was injured, KUSA reported.
Lora Thomas, a Douglas County commissioner, was visiting the cemetery when the crash occurred.
“Traffic jam going to Dad’s grave at Ft Logan,” she wrote on social media. “There’s a car in between headstones. Saw an officer cuff a woman and walk her away. Hope no one got hurt.”
