INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — UPDATE: The Jaguars have been defeated by the Colts 23-17.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) shocked the NFL last week when they beat the Buffalo Bills 9-6. Coming off the win, they head to Indianapolis to take on a division rival.
JAGUARS POLL: Which duo will be the biggest threat in today’s matchup?
The Colts (4-5) have had extra time to prepare for Sunday’s matchup after a Thursday night win against the New York Jets.
The kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium. You can watch the game live on CBS47.
The Colts are favored in today’s game, however, the Jaguars have won seven of the last 11 games against Indianapolis, including their last two matchups. You may remember the Jaguars’ 2020 season opener, which was a win against the Colts. They then went on to lose 20 games in a row.
One important player to note is Jaguars running back, James Robinson. Robinson will be a true game-time decision for the Jags based on a heel injury.
Action Sports Jax’s Brent Martineau is in Indianapolis, he saw Robinson working out this morning prior to today’s matchup.

UPDATE 3:20 P.M.:
Lawrence to Treadwell for an 18-yard completion on 3rd down.
That's someone making a play right there... Treadwell with a nice catch... an excellent catch.

Overall, the defense has played pretty well - Ugly start but getting off the field and giving offense a chance. I didn't see the offense being this much of a problem the last few weeks.

UPDATE 3:08 P.M.:
M. Wright misses a 51-yard field goal attempt, wide right. Jags trail 20-9. 10:55 left in the 3rd quarter.
Out of sync. Marvin Jones have to catch that or bad throw? Hard to see up here. No points for Jags out of half. Offensive disaster continues.

UPDATE 3:05 P.M.:
J. Robinson with a 14-yard run, Jags on the Colts’ 26 yard-line. Inching closer to the Red Zone.
When the Jags run the ball.... it looks like offense... especially when James runs the ball.

HALFTIME: Jaguars close out the first half with a 56-yard field goal! The Colts lead 23-9 at halftime.
Jaguars will receive the ball to start the second half.
Trevor Lawrence is 3 for 14 for 36 yards in the NFL in 2021 - we have counted at least 3 drops. He made a bad throw to Arnold. Trevor does have 4 carries for 32 yards. The Jags have to find a rhythm - without James Robinson doing much last 3 weeks, they are lost.

UPDATE 2:40 P.M.:
Actually - 7 possessions and 6 of them 3 and outs... https://t.co/AgLXF5KJk2

UPDATE 2:30 P.M.:
Jaguars force the Colts to 4th down. Colts kick a 29-yard field goal. Jags trail, 20-6.
Jags got run over early on - special teams was awful but this game right now is on the offense. They've had every opportunity to get back into the game and can't get it done. 3 weeks of bad offense in a row.
— Brent Martineau (@BrentASJax) November 14, 2021
Jags had 3 possessions with good field position and went 3 and out each time. couldn't even manage a first down.
— Brent Martineau (@BrentASJax) November 14, 2021
Jags last 3 possessions - started at 38, 38 and now 43.

UPDATE 2:10 P.M.:
Nine minutes left in the first half, Colts still lead 17-6.
If Jags are not going to win one on one's - they need to scheme something better than on 3rd and 3. Two opportunities to get back into the game and wasted them both.

Heck of a play by Rudy Ford on Hines - he chased that thing from the start. 9 yard pickup was almost a lot more.

WR @jamalagnew's 66-yard TD rush was the longest rush by a wide receiver in franchise history. His 66-yard run was also the longest run by a wide receiver since 2016 (Tyreek Hill, Dec. 25, 2016). pic.twitter.com/QN9rolKLCC

END OF 1ST QUARTER: Colts lead the Jags, 17-6.
UPDATE 1:41 P.M.:
TOUCHDOWN JAGS! J. Agnew with a 66-yard touchdown. Wright misses the extra point. Jags trail, 17-6. One minute left in the first quarter.
This was J. Agnew’s first career rushing touchdown.
Jags get a good play and their special teams keeps stinking it up... Matthew Wright misses extra point. Unreal... 17-6.
— Brent Martineau (@BrentASJax) November 14, 2021
UPDATE 1:35 P.M.:
Colts touchdown. J. Taylor with a 4-yard run. The extra point is good, Colts lead 17-0. 2:48 left in the first quarter.
Taylor in the first quarter: 10 carries, 93 yards, TD
— Brent Martineau (@BrentASJax) November 14, 2021
Jags have 8 yards, 2 penalties, a punt blocked for TD
I'm going to go outside and play in the snow.
Jags are getting manhandled. Touchdown Taylor. Embarrassing effort by the Jags in the first quarter. They look like they shouldn't be on the same field as the Colts.
— Brent Martineau (@BrentASJax) November 14, 2021
UPDATE 1:25 P.M.:
Jaguars go 3 and out again for their second series of the game.
Colts have the ball on their own 47-yard line, just under 7 minutes to go in the first quarter.
UPDATE 1:18 P.M.:
Jaguars go 3 and out. Cooke’s punt BLOCKED and recovered for a Colts touchdown. Colts lead 10-0 with just over 8 minutes to go in the first quarter.
Special teams continues to be a two year problem for the Jaguars. Kickers, punt blocks, most recently bad kickoff coverage. Bad teams with bad special teams is not a good combo.
— Brent Martineau (@BrentASJax) November 14, 2021
UPDATE 1:10 P.M.:
Colts bring out kicker, Badgley on 4th & 3, for a 24-yard field goal. The kick is good. Colts lead 3-0.
This offensive line has found a rhythm the last few weeks and it's showing it again - pushing the Jags and Taylor picking up chunks.
— Brent Martineau (@BrentASJax) November 14, 2021
GAME TIME: Colts start with the ball, Jonathan Taylor with a 34-yard run to start the game.
Jonathan Taylor with a heck of a tone setter for 34 yards.
