JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — TIAA Bank is being sold to new investors, parent company TIAA announced Thursday.

The bank will be renamed and the new name will be announced after the sale closes.

According to a news release on the sale, the bank will remain based in Jacksonville.

The transaction is supposed to close in 2023.

The Jacksonville Jaguars’ stadium is TIAA Bank Field, so that name will likely change as well.

In 2014, the Jaguars reached a 10-year naming rights deal with EverBank.

In 2016, TIAA announced plans to purchase EverBank Financial Corp. and it was renamed TIAA Bank after the sale closed in 2017.

The stadium, which was named EverBank Field at the time, became TIAA Bank Field officially in 2018.
