Saints to play Packers in Jacksonville for season opener

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Due to Hurricane Ida, Jacksonville’s TIAA Bank Field will now be the host for the New Orleans Saints’ season opener vs. the Green Bay Packers, Sept. 12.

The Jaguars are on the road on Sept. 12, facing off against the Houston Texans, freeing up TIAA Bank Field for an NFL team in need.

Even though the Saints’ Caesars Superdome did not sustain any structural damage from Hurricane Ida, New Orleans is without power and the city has urged citizens to reduce water consumption.

Jacksonville was the closest stadium available for the Saints.

Saints and Jaguars season ticket holders will have exclusive access to presale opportunities. Saints season ticket holders can purchase tickets beginning Thursday, Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. ET.

Jaguars season ticket members can also purchase tickets on Thursday, beginning at 3 p.m.

The game will still be played at the same time it was scheduled, Sept. 12 at 4:25 p.m.
