KaJéza is a Midwest native but she’s happy to now call Northeast Florida home. She joined Action News Jax as the morning traffic anchor and reporter in February 2026 after spending 3 years in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio. During her time in the Miami Valley (Greater Dayton area), she was an anchor and reporter, sharing powerful community stories about youth gun violence, Haitian immigration in Springfield, and deadly tornadoes in the northern Miami Valley counties. She was nominated "Best Media Personality" by The Dayton Daily News in 2024 and has a passion for engaging in community events. Her journalism career began with several internships, one at Action News Jax sister station, WHIO, in Dayton and another in Raleigh, North Carolina. She started out as a reporter and anchor in Zanesville, Ohio. KaJéza is a proud HBCU grad, attending the nation's first private Historically Black College, Wilberforce University. During her time in college, she was crowned the 93rd Miss Wilberforce University and spent time advocating for the United Negro College Fund. In her spare time, you can catch her crafting, reading, or trying new foods. KaJéza is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. If you’re wondering, how to pronounce her name, think Kah-Jasia!
