Steven Ponson is the Co-Anchor of Jacksonville's Morning News. He has been with Cox Media Group since the summer of 2015, and with WOKV since mid-2017. He is the previous host of Jax Journal, one of the public affairs programs heard every Saturday night on WOKV. Before that, he was an afternoon news anchor, afternoon producer and a morning reporter on Jacksonville’s Morning News. Steven is originally from Louisiana but has lived in Florida for over 25 years.

JSO arrests 18-year-old for triple murder

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for a triple-homicide on Sunday. 18-year-old Ja-Darrius Jones is charged with three counts of murder, armed robbery and auto theft.

Waters, Burton head to November runoff for Jacksonville Sheriff

On election night Tuesday, none of the candidates for Jacksonville Sheriff received 50% +1 of the vote meaning the race will head to a runoff in November between Republican TK Waters and Democrat Lakesha Burton.
