5 things you didn't know about ‘Empire's' Grace Gealey

Grace Gealey plays Anika Calhoun, also known as "Boo Boo Kitty" on FOX’s hit show “Empire.” Gealey answered questions submitted by “Empire” fans on Twitter.

1. Gealey was raised in the Cayman Islands. She said her accent only comes out when she’s around family.

2.Gealey is engaged to another "Empire" cast member, Trai Byers, who plays Andre Lyon. Gealey says acting on the same cast with Byers is not difficult. When asked, "Is it hard for you to see your boyfriend kiss someone in the cast?" Gealey responded, "I've been an actor for a long time and I've had to do the same."
Gealey went on to say that when the cameras are rolling, they don't totally transform into their characters.

3. Gealey is a night owl.

4. Gealey loves Vietnamese food. She says if she could only eat one thing for a week, it would be pho, a noodle soup.

5. Gealey supports women empowerment. When asked to give advice for women Gealey said, “Be your number one fan, and uplift other women, too.”
