'Empire' Recap: Cookie may have found a new love interest

Here’s everything you need to know about the second episode in the third season of "Empire".

Jamal stops singing.

Lucious tells Cookie that he thinks Jamal is incapable of singing on stage. To prove his point, Lucious invites Jamal on stage to sing at an event. Jamal runs away and has another panic attack. Cookie helps him recover.

“I’m scared. That’s what you want, right? I can’t get on stage,” Jamal said to Lucious.

Cookie finds a new love interest.

Guest star Taye Diggs was introduced to the Empire as Angelo Dubois, a city councilman.

Dubois get some harsh criticism from Cookie about how to help underserved communities. Rather than being offended, he takes the constructive criticism and thanks her for it.

By the end of the episode, Dubois and Cookie are on a first name basis.

Andre gets arrested.

Andre returned to the home he shared with his recently deceased wide, Rhonda, to get some of his belongings. He was stopped by two police officers, who asked him why he was in the neighborhood.

The conversation escalated and he was harshly slammed to the ground, then arrested.
