Jacksonville Beach, FL. — A St. Johns County teenager has been arrested in connection to an attempted home invasion and robbery in Jacksonville Beach, which turned deadly.
The Jacksonville Beach Police Department responded on September 21, 2020, to the incident at 1:16 a.m. and found a man, who had been shot, in the front yard of a home on Penman Road North.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the man who was attempting to rob the home as Ezekiel Trey Archulata, 20, of Jacksonville.
Through a Jacksonville Beach Police Department investigation, they learned that Samantha Weiner,18, the ex-girlfriend of the resident, solicited at least two individuals to rob him in retaliation for the breakup, according to police.
Police said she provided them with detailed information of the house and the items to be taken.
The information authorities said was given by Weiner, “caused the deceased to go to the house and ultimately be killed by the resident in the course of this attempted robbery.”
On January 6, 2021, in conjunction with detectives of the St. Johns County Sheriff’s office, an arrest warrant was served for Weiner and a search warrant was served at her residence in St Johns County.
She is facing the charges of Second Degree Felony Murder and Solicitation to Commit Robbery.
