Think you’ve seen Brian Laundrie? Here’s what the FBI wants you to do

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Do you think you may have spotted Brian Laundrie? If so, here’s what the Federal Bureau of Investigations asks you to do.

If you are looking at what appears to be Laundrie call the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. If you have a picture or video of him, call the FBI at 1-800-CALL FBI (225-5324).

Action News Jax reached out to the FBI Jacksonville regarding the possible sighting of Laundrie in St. Augustine and Jax Beach, and they shared the following statement.

In response to several media inquiries regarding a possible sighting of Brian Laundrie in St. Augustine and Jax Beach over the weekend, FBI Jacksonville has issued the following statements:

  • The FBI does not comment on the receipt of any individual tip or submission, or any details about tips.
  • We have been in touch with our counterparts at FBI Tampa and, as always, stand ready to assist them as needed.
  • Below is the latest statement from FBI Tampa.  FBI Denver remains the lead investigating office.

FBI continues to ask for the public’s assistance in sharing information they may have about this case through the tip lines: 1-800-CALL FBI or tips.fbi.gov. Photos or videos may be submitted to fbi.gov/petito. No further details can be provided since this is an active and ongoing investigation. Media is advised to direct any questions to the FBI Denver Field Office at: FBIDN_PUBLICAFFAIRS@fbi.gov
