Jacksonville city leaders ask residents for advice on how to reduce crime and violence

Jacksonville, FL. — Three shootings in the last 24 hours in Jacksonville have city leaders taking action.

Mayor Lenny Curry’s “Community Impact Day” invited families from New Town, LaVilla, Grand Park, and Durkeeville to share their thoughts on how the city can help reduce crime and violence.

Some residents told Action News Jax they want more law enforcement in their communities.
