Two people riding on a motorcycle collided with a deer that walked into the road on Thursday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported the riders were traveling south on U.S. Highway 1, just south of Old Kings Road in Flagler County, when a deer walked into the road.
Troopers said after the collision, the motorcycle went off the road, overturned and ejected the driver and passenger.
The driver, a 37-year-old man of St. Augustine, died of his injuries, the FHP report stated. The passenger, a 49-year-old woman of St. Augustine, has serious injuries.
Both riders were wearing a helmet. Their names have not been released.
