JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A young man died from injuries he sustained after falling off the hood of a moving car Christmas Day.
Bernard J. Arnett, 20, was riding on the hood of a car in the parking lot of a store on City Station Drive Dec. 25, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Arnett tried to get off the car while it was still moving and fell. He hit his head on the ground and was transported to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to JSO.
Arnett died from his injuries on Thursday, according to officials.
