Two families are getting help from Red Cross after their Arlington apartments caught fire on Monday afternoon.
Five adults and two children were displaced after fire spread from one unit to a second at Arlington Eagle Apartments on Alderman Road.
The fire ripped through an apartment on the first floor of the complex and spread to the unit above it.
Crews with Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department stopped the spread of flames but there was extensive damage on the first floor unit.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the flames is under investigation.
