JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — It’s not your imagination. For a fifth consecutive year, Jacksonville recorded the highest number of vehicle crashes involving trucks in Florida.
In 2025, Jacksonville reported 469 such collisions, more than doubling any other city in the state. Orlando ranked second with 231, followed by Tampa with 141.
Statewide, the number of crashes involving a truck was down 21% over 2024. The number of fatalities from truck accidents was also down 14%, according to statistics from The G Law Group, a personal injury firm in Miami
The firm analyzed data from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. It found that while the total number of crashes involving trucks in Jacksonville has fallen from 651 in 2022, Jacksonville remains the state’s hotspot.
Interstate 295 alone accounted for 138 crashes involving trucks in Duval County. Five people were killed and 42 injured in those crashes.
Interstates 10 and 95 were also the sites of a large number of crashes. A total of 58 collisions involving trucks occurred on I-10 in Duval County in 2025.
