NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. — The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office is asking parents to put the brakes on their kids’ reckless and illegal use of e-bikes in the county.
“Parents, it’s time for a conversation,” a post on the department’s Facebook page said on Thursday.
Police said they’re seeing an increase in the number of arrests involving teens riding e-bikes recklessly - including some who have eluded police.
“Make sure your kids understand that reckless driving isn’t just dangerous, it can lead to serious injuries, felony charges and a criminal record.”
Action News Jax reached out to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office for the number of arrests of teens so far in 2026 and for other details.
