Beaches Energy announces utility bill hike

Beaches Energy customers have been notified that starting in July, an increase in their utility bill can be expected.

The reasoning behind this increase was included in the most recent Beaches Energy June newsletter.

High energy costs are impacting everyone, including utilities. Beaches Energy customers will see an increase in their utility bills in July because of the sustained high price of natural gas. Historically, natural gas prices have been stable and predictable. Recently however, fuel prices have more than doubled.

So, what might a new bill look like moving forward?

Beaches Energy says that for an average home using 1,000-kilowatt hours, the monthly increase should be around $20.
