Bicyclist in critical condition after hit-and-run in Nocatee

NOCATEE — Action News Jax has learned new information about a hit-and-run that happened in Nocatee on Friday night.

The St. Johns Sheriff’s Office said that around 7 p.m. a bicyclist was hit on Crosswater Parkway near the Del Webb neighborhood.

The driver who hit the bicyclist reportedly took off after the crash but deputies said they quickly identified both the vehicle and the driver. The victim was air-lifted to a nearby hospital where they remain in critical condition, according to SJSO.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators tell us no charges have been filed at this time. This article will be updated as the more details become available.
