An 11-year-old boy surprised Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies with gift cards he bought with his own allowance Friday at the annual "Christmas with a Deputy" event.
Jeffrey Faust saved his allowance throughout the year and bought 50 $10 gift cards for deputies and four $25 gift cards for what he refers to as the "Big Dogs" at the Sheriff's Office -- the supervisors.
Faust gave in honor of his dad who dies Dec. 7, 2011. His father was a Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputy.
Due to his generosity, the Sheriff's Office surprised him by allowing him to be apart of the annual holiday event.
Many Sheriff’s Office deputies chose to use Jeffrey’s gift to “pay it forward” and add the gift card to the holiday shopping experience of the child they accompanied to the Christmas with a Deputy event.
