Boyfriend pleads guilty in Jacksonville 23-year-old's death

Megan Twist dies days after she was found unconscious in Brunswick. 

Officials say a man has pleaded guilty to four charges in the death of his 23-year-old girlfriend.

Police said Megan Twist was riding on the side of her boyfriend Robert Wiltfang's truck in November 2016 when she fell and hit concrete in Brunswick. She died two days after the fall.

Twist lived in Jacksonville. She was 23 years old.

Wiltfang's blood was taken at the scene to be tested.

He faced 14 charges in her death. He pleaded guilty Monday to charges including DUI, involuntary manslaughter, open container and giving a false statement.

The district attorney's office told Action News Jax that prosecutors have not yet made a decision about the other 10 charges.

The case is still open.

Family told Action News Jax that Twist lives on through organ donation.

Her mother Barbara Twist said as many as five people received her donations.
