LAWTEY, Fla. — UPDATE 8:14 P.M. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a vehicle was headed north on US-301 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit two pedestrians who were walking alongside their bikes.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Florida Highway Patrol has reported a fatal crash on US-301 and NW 264th St. in Lawtey, Florida.
A vehicle has hit two pedestrians.
One pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene while the other was transported to the hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
All northbound lanes of US-301 were blocked due to the crash.
This is now a double fatality crash.
